چکیده

The obtaining of nanocarriers gene material and small drugs is still an interesting research line. Side-effects produced by the toxicity several pharmaceutics, high concentrations needed to get therapeutic effects, or their excessive use patients have motivated search for new nanostructures. For these reasons, cationic metallo-liposomes composed phosphatidylcholine (PC), cholesterol (CHO) RuC1C19 (a surfactant derived from metallic complex [Ru(bpy)3]2+) were prepared characterized using diverse techniques (zeta potential, dynamic light scattering electronic transmission microscopy –TEM-). Unimodal bimodal populations spherical aggregates with sizes obtained depending on composition liposomes. presence favored formation aggregates. ct-DNA was condensed in liposomes investigated. In-vitro assays demonstrated ability nanoaggregates internalize into different cell lines. A positive transfection human bone osteosarcoma epithelial cells (U2OS) also observed. used as sensor quantify binding DNA Doxorubicin encapsulated metallo-liposomes, demonstrating be drugs. relationship between then encapsulation percentage antibiotic has been established.

Recent Developments of Liposomes as Nanocarriers for Theranostic Applications

Liposomes are nanocarriers comprised of lipid bilayers encapsulating an aqueous core. The ability of liposomes to encapsulate a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic agents has led to significant interest in utilizing liposomes as nanocarriers for theranostic applications. In this review, we highlight recent progress in developing liposomes as nanocarriers for a) diagnostic applications to...

Development of 153Sm/177Lu-EDTMP as a possible therapeutic complex

Introduction:Targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) has been demonstrated to be an effective therapeutic tool in patients with disseminated bone metastasis. TRT is generally performed with a single radionuclide. In this study we investigated the feasibility of combined TRT with a high-energy beta emitter (153Sm) and a low energy beta emitter (177Lu) in wistar...

Umbilical Cord Tissue-Derived Cells as Therapeutic Agents

Although the characteristics of SC, including UC-derived cells, are a dramatically discussed issue, this review will focus particularly on some controversial issues regarding clinical utility of cells isolated from UC tissue. UC-derived cells have several advantages compared to other types and sources of stem cells. The impact of UC topography on cell characteristics is briefly discussed. The n...
